A Dog Lovers Guide to Historic Galt, Downtown Cambridge

As summer continues here in Historic Galt, Downtown Cambridge, we are seeing more and more of our community joining us for events and checking out our Get into Galt summer pavilion and downtown with their pets! As dog owners, we know the stress of finding spots to eat at that are dog friendly so we thought we’d shout out some of the amazing restaurants that have pet-friendly patios (and of course some local businesses selling dog accessories too!).

The Local Eatery: www.thelocaleatery.ca

Located at the corner of Main Street and Ainslie Street, The Local Eatery has a fresh healthy menu and a dog-friendly patio to enjoy your lunch at! Some of our favourites on the menu include the Burrito (vegan) and Calavera bowl!

Monigram Coffee Roasters: www.monigram.ca

Located on Ainslie Street, Monigram Coffee Roasters is one of our favourite places to grab a coffee in the morning! Not only is their patio dog-friendly but they can also provide a water bowl for your furry friend too! All you have to do is ask the staff 😊

Healthy Rabbit: www.healthyrabbit.ca

You may have seen the Healthy Rabbit while walking on Main Street through our Get into Galt Pavillion, but did you know they have an artsy patio in the back that’s dog-friendly? Check out all their vegetarian and vegan options and enjoy their mural with your pup!

Black Badger: www.blackbadger.ca

For all your favourite British pub favourites, there's the Black Badger! Their dog-friendly patio is located on Water Street and is a great place to catch up with friends!

Thirteen Food & Beverage: www.local13.ca

This local and scratch-driven restaurant is located on the corner of Main Street and Water Street and has an extended patio during our Get into Galt Summer Pavillion! Their patio is dog-friendly and they have a wide selection of Ontario craft beer!

EVO Kitchen & Bar: www.evokitchen.com

EVO’s dog-friendly back patio is like a vacation oasis complete with plants and ample shade for you and your pup! Check out their menu which features an array of shareables for you and your friends, sandwiches and more!

Farm League Brewing: farmleaguebrewing.com

Located just a 10-minute walk away from our Get Into Galt summer Pavillion, Farm League Brewing is a great place to stop by for a craft beer and enjoy it outside at their dog-friendly patio. If you’re stopping by on a Sunday, join Farm League Brewing for Dog Day where they close their kitchen and allow guests to bring their dogs inside!

Juniper Artisan Collective: facebook.com/juniperartco

If you’re bringing your pup for a day of shopping, don’t forget to stop by Juniper Artisan Collective. Every morning Crystal puts out a water bowl for local pups and her shop is dog-friendly! Another pet-friendly place to shop for pet accessories downtown is The Witty and Co! Their curated selection of leashes, dog toys and more are perfect for any pet owner! If you’re shopping for dog-themed gifts, they have some cards and gifts as well!
